Not much sewing going on right now; it's all about yard work, baby!

Mom is home from Colorado and she's been here staying for a few days.  She's a garden cleaning Wonder Woman!  Watch out weeds!  Of course, Koko has to get in the action right beside her.

I am so thankful for the help.  My garden is getting to be too much to take care of.  I hate to get rid of any of them, but I definitely need to do it.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Donations

While in Colorado my sister and I made up three sets of pillowcases and some cute dishtowels to donate to the Denver Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event happening in October there (I just love making those pillowcases - I can't stop!!). Vivian, a one woman powerhouse, is team captain (The Boobees) and Kim is walking in the race. Vivian is hosting a huge raffle and sale in August to raise money for the Cure. The gals are wearing lovely pink tutus and we worked on those while I was there. I had so much fun making things with my sister.  After just a few ironing lessons, she was a pro.  I wish I could be there for the walk! You go, girls!!

Oodles of Poodles

I'm still not sure why, but I fell in love with these poodles. It's such a GIRL thing!! I used black canvas at the top and gathered a sheer ribbon for just a bit of a ruffle.
